Self-Exclusion and Time-Out: Purpose and Scope

M88 provides two protective measures to help manage gambling activity: Time-Out (a short, temporary break) and Self-Exclusion (an extended halt of account access). These mechanisms apply to all products offered by M88. Activation is voluntary and intended to support responsible gaming. During any active period, the account is restricted in accordance with the selected duration, and access to services is limited as described below.

Initiating a Time-Out

A Time-Out is a temporary break from playing. To initiate:

  • Sign in to your M88 account and open your Profile details.
  • Select Time-Out and choose one of the available periods.
  • Confirm your selection. You will not be able to login for the duration of the Time-Out, and deposits, withdrawals, or gameplay are prohibited during the period.

Revoking a Time-Out is only permitted after 24 hours from the initial Time-Out request. After revocation, your access will be restored according to the account status on expiry.

Extended Self-Exclusion

If you require a longer break, you may request Self-Exclusion for a defined period. To begin this process:

  • Send a formal request to M88 via the designated email channel from your account or registered contact address.
  • Upon receipt, your account enters a first stage 24-hour cooling-off period during which no gambling activity is permitted.
  • After the cooling-off period, while the account remains closed, a Customer Support Agent will inform you of the available Self-Exclusion periods. Pre-selected periods are offered without variation.
  • To proceed, you must provide a confirming email response. If no reply is received within 24 hours, the account will be reopened and confirmed by email.
  • Once the Self-Exclusion period begins, the account will be disabled and you will not be able to deposit or withdraw funds for the duration of the exclusion. Upon expiration, the account will be automatically re-activated.

Access, Deposits and Withdrawals During Exclusion

During Time-Out or Self-Exclusion, the following applies to all products: login access is blocked for the period; deposits and withdrawals are prohibited for the duration of the exclusion; the account status is governed by the chosen protection period and is not subject to manual override during the period.

Financial Protections and Personal Limits

When you set up your account or during use, you may impose financial limits within the relevant settings. If you exceed a maximum self-imposed limit at any time, you will be restricted from any further actions related to that limit. A revoke of a limit or exclusion requires written or electronic notice to M88; the Company will consider such requests but reserves absolute discretion to deny.

Promotions, Communications and Data Integrity

We take reasonable steps to ensure that promotional materials are not sent to customers who have self-excluded. You acknowledge that we are not responsible if you maintain access through alternative accounts or if you alter registration details to circumvent the exclusion, or if promotional material is inadvertently forwarded to you.
